Glendale Bargain printer Tips

Tucson Online Printing Company Tips
An Online brochure printers offers all the same advantages, if not more, than a traditional retailer. There are certain guidelines you should consider .....
You can improve your company's overall presence in the market by initiating a direct mail campaign, whether by snail mail or through online ventures. One thing to consider when doing so is taking advantage of Wholesale full color printing deals many online commercial printing services have to offer.

Tip: When saving files and given the choice between RGB & CMYK, which one should I choose? Always choose CMYK Color Space, rather than RGB.

Here are some tips to consider when placing an order at your bargain print shop:

Find out what type of files they prefer. Most gladly create documents from Word files and PowerPoint files, but check to make sure.

Q: Can you explain the difference between RGB and CMYK formats?

A: RGB refers to the primary colors of light: (Red, Green and Blue), that are used in monitors, television screens, digital cameras and scanners. CMYK refers to the primary colors of pigment: (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black). These are the inks used on the press in "4-color process printing", commonly referred to as "full color printing".

The combination of RGB light creates white, while the combination of CMYK inks creates black. Therefore, it is physically impossible for the printing press to reproduce colors exactly as we see them on our monitors.

Q. Is their something I can do in Publisher that will help me make sure my images and objects stay exactly where I want them to?

A. Yes, you can. Use Absolute Positioning before going to Press. This is the best way to make sure things will look right when you are going to press with a design. Trying to position objects by eye on your monitor can be deceiving because of the relatively large size of the pixels it uses to display objects. Do the math and use this method when you want your design elements to be positioned exactly. Go to Format-->Size And Position and use numerical values to position and size objects.

Q: How should I take pictures with my digital camera?

A: It is very important to make sure that the camera is set to the highest quality setting possible. This means that if you can only save one image on the picture card instead of 12, 64 or 128 images, then this is good! You want to create the best quality picture that the camera can make. This will mean large file sizes and slow downloads from the camera itself, but it will get you the best possible results from your camera.

Los Angeles Cheap Printing Shop
Whether your business involves selling products or offering services, chances are at some time or another you will consider creating custom brochures to help advertise your business. If you do plan on creating custom brochures you .....
Digital camera images are on 72 DPI, so they should be taken in the largest pixel dimension possible. ie… 2500 x 1500. Images should be at 300dpi in their final size in the layout! So you will need to convert them from 72 dpi to 300 once you add them to your layout.

Make sure your printer sends you a proof of the final documents produced so you can verify their accuracy.

Check to see what other formats the printer accepts, as you may find others work better for you (like PDF files or Pagemaker files).
Our Des Moines Commercial Printshops
The best way to save time and money when operating a small business is by delegating tasks to others. One of the simplest tasks a business owner can .....

If your job requires the printer create an exact color match, make sure you verify a color proof first so the printer can make adjustments if necessary to your order.

Check to see how much bleed you need to allow for in certain cases, like for envelopes or custom brochures.

Tip: Is there a way to calculate the size you must reduce (shrink) an Internet image so that it will print the highest quality possible?

Reduce the size to 24% of its original size. (Because 72dpi is 24% of the 300dpi resolution you want)

For Example:

Internet Image that is 3 inches x 3 inches, at 72dpi
You want to shrink it enough to get it to 300dpi for crisp printing
72 divided 300 = 0.24
3 inches x 0.24 = 0.72 inches

Ask your Glendale, California bargain printer if they offer tips for designing your brochures or templates you can use to create your own business cards and brochures from with little or no hassle. Most will have some templates you can use.
