Full color postcard provide an easy method for advertising your products, services and business to the public. In fact, postcards are a terrific method for generating leads inexpensively.

Tip: When a lossy file format is saved over and over again, the jagged edges are exaggerated. The process creates extra pixel garbage that you do not want printed. Therefore, if you start with a JPEG file that then needs edits, save it as an EPS or TIF file. This way, additional information will not get lost and the quality of the original JPEG image will be maintained.

Sending full color postcards directly to your current customers and prospective customers is a simple method for marketing your services inexpensively. There are some tricks of the trade however, you can master to make sure your postcard campaign packs the most punch.

Q: What if my image editing software does not tell me the pixel dimensions?

A: Most will, but if not, it should tell you what the resolution is. Then you know the maximum size you can use that image in your layout. It is recommend that images be at 300dpi in their final size in the layout and 400dpi if the images include text. Please keep in mind that resolution and physical dimensions are in direct proportion to each other. If you have an image that is 2x2 at 300dpi and increase its size in the layout to 4x4 the new resolution is now 150dpi. So remember, when you bring an image in to your layout you can shrink it down in size (because the resolution will increase) but you will be limited as to how far you can increase it in size.

Lexington-Fayette Cheap Full Color Printing Tips
You can improve your company's overall presence in the market by initiating a direct mail campaign, whether by snail mail or through online ventures. One thing to consider when doing so is .....
Q. Is their something I can do in Publisher that will help me make sure my images and objects stay exactly where I want them to?

A. Yes, you can. Use Absolute Positioning before going to Press. This is the best way to make sure things will look right when you are going to press with a design. Trying to position objects by eye on your monitor can be deceiving because of the relatively large size of the pixels it uses to display objects. Do the math and use this method when you want your design elements to be positioned exactly. Go to Format-->Size And Position and use numerical values to position and size objects.

Q: Will the printers match a sample I print out on my own printer, or a previously printed sample?

A: They will try their best, but because printers and output devices vary wildly, there is no guarantee that your finished piece will look exactly like your printed sample. Even from one commercial printing firm to another, there can be noticeable differences in results.

Printers will print from your files, and there is no way they can guarantee it will match a previously printed sample. They will, however, do their best to produce a top-notch piece. In particular, inkjet and laser prints are known to look substantially different than true offset lithography. The final product they produce for you will not match the output from your inkjet printer -- it will look better and more professional!
