Getting Your Arlington Custom Brochure Templates
When creating custom brochures for your business you may benefit by taking advantage of the tools your online print shop has to offer. Common tools online printers offer include use of Custom brochure templates for .....
The best way to save time and money when operating a small business is by delegating tasks to others. One of the simplest tasks a business owner can delegate includes their printing tasks. Most Commercial printshops can handle any print jobs required by a small or large business. These include not only printing services but also in many cases custom design and printing.

Tip: How do I calculate the resolution you must use for scanning a photo?
Increase the scanning resolution above 300dpi by the same percentage you will be enlarging the original photo.

For Example:
Photo size = 2 x 3 inches
Image layout size = 5 x 7 inches
5/2 = 2.5 (you will be enlarging the photo 2.5 times, or 250%)
Scan photo at 2.5x 300dpi, or 750dpi

If you need to enlarge anything larger than 300% it is best to contact your local service provider for a professional scan.

Q: What are over and under runs?

A: Printing industry trade standards allow for over/under shipments of plus or minus 10%. If you need an exact quantity for a mailing or other promotion, it is recommend that you order 5% over the minimum quantity you need.

Proofing Tips- Should I always Print out a Hard Copy?
Most design errors are made because designers are in a hurry and do not print out a hard copy to proof. When you are only looking at your project on the screen, it is very easy to miss mistakes in your printed document. Print it out and look at it. Check for spacing problems, inconsistencies, spelling errors and design problems. And most importantly, if your project is going to be folded then print it out and fold it to see if the items on the page are positioned right on the panels and to see if there are any problems with folding it the way you had envisioned.

Q: How long will it take to print and ship my order?

A: Traditional jobs such as business cards, stationery and brochures will be printed within 5-7 business days from the time your proof was approved. Multi-page publications such as annual reports and catalogs are usually shipped within 10 to 15 days from the time your proof was approved. Envelopes are 15-20 business days only because they have to be sent out and converted after they print the paper.

Once it has been printed it is ready to be shipped and usually takes 1 to 5 business days to get to you depending on where you live in the country. Printers will always try to get your order shipped to you as fast as possible without sacrificing quality. Remember, if you need it faster, you can place a rush order.

Consider your annual printing needs. Write them down and figure out how a commercial print shop can help you achieve your goals.

Tip: Spacing and Alignment Tips
