How can a small or large business save time and money? By taking advantage of a Wholesale commercial printing services. What kinds of services will a commercial printer offer? Aside from custom logo and letterhead design, most offer modern printing techniques including 4 color custom printing.
Tip: Spacing and Alignment Tips The spacing should always be consistent throughout your publication Designers strive to keep their Spacing and Alignment as consistent as possible throughout their projects. Remember to check the alignment of frames, text, pictures and captions Also check spacing between headings, paragraphs, and pictures.
Let's not forget the day-to-day printing jobs a commercial printing service can offer. Most can provide custom print jobs and deliver final products overnight or within 48 hours in many cases.
Q: Why is it important that I set up my file in the CMYK format?
A: You should be the one to convert your colors from RGB to CMYK. By doing it yourself, you have maximum control over the results. You may notice a shift in color when converting from RGB to CMYK. If you do not like the appearance in CMYK, it is recommend that you make adjustments while working in CMYK (usually lightening will help achieve your desired look.) Generally, you should specify CMYK color builds that look a little lighter than you want, since the dots of ink "fatten up" on press, giving you more pigment on paper than you see on your monitor. Be especially careful to keep backgrounds light if there is black or dark colored text over it, so that the text remains readable.
Q: Will the printers match a sample I print out on my own printer, or a previously printed sample?
A: They will try their best, but because printers and output devices vary wildly, there is no guarantee that your finished piece will look exactly like your printed sample. Even from one commercial printing firm to another, there can be noticeable differences in results.
Printers will print from your files, and there is no way they can guarantee it will match a previously printed sample. They will, however, do their best to produce a top-notch piece. In particular, inkjet and laser prints are known to look substantially different than true offset lithography. The final product they produce for you will not match the output from your inkjet printer -- it will look better and more professional!
Q: How should I take pictures with my digital camera?
A: It is very important to make sure that the camera is set to the highest quality setting possible. This means that if you can only save one image on the picture card instead of 12, 64 or 128 images, then this is good! You want to create the best quality picture that the camera can make. This will mean large file sizes and slow downloads from the camera itself, but it will get you the best possible results from your camera.
Digital camera images are on 72 DPI, so they should be taken in the largest pixel dimension possible. ie… 2500 x 1500. Images should be at 300dpi in their final size in the layout! So you will need to convert them from 72 dpi to 300 once you add them to your layout.
Of course, this isn't always the case. You should check in with a printing service prior to placing your order if you have a job that needs to be completed within a specific (and short) time frame. It may cost you a bit extra to have "rush" orders completed, but you can always rest assured a professional will get the job done right while you attend to other important business matters.

TIF or EPS files are examples of lossless file formats. They are designed to print clear and crisp at a resolution of 300dpi at their final size in the layout. JPEG/JPG or GIF files are examples of lossy file formats. They were originally designed for easy file transmission and internet use, not for printing.
Most commercial printers also offer digital services. Just keep in mind you may have to provide special information or follow certain guidelines when submitting materials (including images) for printing in Jersey City, New Jersey.
