Flyers: Must-Haves For Marketing Your Business

One of the most tiring things about marketing is that if you go by talk alone, you will inevitably tire from saying the same sales spiel over and over again to different people. This is a waste of time at worst.

This is why flyers play a significant role in your business’ success. The main role of flyers is to tell your story, fill in the details of your business, and to promote your product or business.

Flyers Vs Brochures

Both flyers, fliers and brochures rely on a combination of good copy, great graphics and thoughtful design to achieve the ultimate end result: to create buzz for your business and generate more sales. But while a brochure can have many pages, a flyer is often a single sheet of paper printed on one, or both, sides. A typical brochure also contains exhaustive information on a product, service or event. Flyers, meanwhile, give a succinct view of your company – no wasted words there.

Flyers are great things to give during conventions or any other public event where your company can leverage on direct contact with sales prospects.

Why You Should Bother with Flyers

Admit it. There is something about paper printed flyers that make them more appealing than online flyers that are being circulated through the Internet. Which is why we consider it a big mistake for companies to do away with printed flyers to concentrate on electronic flyers.

Having a nicely designed and professionally printed brochure invariably makes your product look more appealing. It also makes your company appear more legitimate than it already is.

Flyers: Different Sizes For Different Budgets

Flyers typically come in different sizes, and each comes at a different cost: letter-size (8.5” x 11”), letter-half size (5.5” x 8.5”), A4 (8.27” x 11.69”), A5 (5.83” x 8.27”), and A6 (4.13” x 5.83”).

We can fold the larger-sized flyers into smaller sizes for a small fee. Flyers are typically printed in full color printing or printing in CMYK (4 color process printing). We also offer black and white, one color printing, and two-color printing as well. Depending on your flyer’s design, you can have one side or both sides of the paper printed on.

We also offer a varnish coating option on our print jobs. Varnish is a liquid coating that is applied to the paper for both protection and appearance. Apart from giving your flyer a layer of protection, varnish coating also lends a more professional look to your flyer.

We have many different paper stocks for your printing needs. Easily, the most common paper stock is a white gloss or matte paper. This paper stock is always the most affordable. However, if you're trying to impress your target market and want to portray an image of quality and strength, or any other feeling, then you might want to choose a heavier stock of paper.

It’s easy to print your flyer with us. If you already have a flyer design ready, just upload your file and we will take care of the rest. If you don’t have a flyer designed yet, then continue reading below.

Your Flyer’s Design: Tips And Advice

  • Identify your target audience. The most successful businesses are successful at conveying to their target market the benefit of using their particular product or service. To be truly effective, your flyer must have a CTA or call-to-action, whether that be placing an order, attending an even, or calling for a consultation.

  • Use eye-catching graphics or photos to generate interest. Photos or graphics should draw the reader to your message. So it comes out crisp and clear, make sure your flyer is created in high resolution - 300 dpi is required for optimum quality printing.

  • Be succinct, and use simple language. Very few people ever have the time, or are willing to make the time, to read your flyer word for word. The trick to conveying your most important points is to place them in places where they are easily caught by the eye – in headlines, subheads, and captions.

  • A simple layout goes a long way. A good design doesn't have to look convoluted. In fact, designing a complicated layout is going to turn off your readers. So keep your layout simple. Amateur designers tend to make the text or the graphics too big and/or too bold. Limit your design to two fonts to avoid the visual confusion.

  • Paper does matter. The kind of paper that you choose to print on can create a feeling of trust and confidence for your company. If you choose a paper weight of 100Ib instead of 80Ib, it will show your commitment to quality. This conveyance can, and does, extend to your product or service.

  • Pay attention to the overall effect. Creating an effective flyer isn’t just about making the flyer attractive, it is also about pay attention to the overall effect of the flyer. Can you see the message right away? Do the graphics and photos complement the text?

In order to stay in business, businessmen need to get the word out on their products and services. Flyers are excellent tools for promoting your business. They can be distributed in different places, can be mailed as part of your direct mail marketing campaign. Flyers can also be distributed as handouts at trade shows.

Cheap and effective, flyers are a lethal tool in your marketing arsenal. When creating a flyer, often the biggest concern is (a) how many flyers to print and (b) where the flyers should be delivered.

How many flyers you should print is actually dependent upon the information you put in the flyer – if there is time-bound information, then order only enough copies. Otherwise, you should order as much as your budget will allow. There is a minimal difference between 10,000 and 12,500 when you compare the cost of each copy being printed.

If your flyers need to be somewhere, then you really don’t have to worry about anything. MyPrintShopOnline can handle just about every delivery need. We can deliver your flyers to your primary location or to a mailing facility. We can even break up the mailings to several different distribution centers.
