An 8 ½ " x 11" newsletter is a two page document that consist of a single sheet of paper printed on both sides.

It can either be produced flat, like a flyer, or it can be folded in half or even into thirds.

Tips for a Successful 8 ½" x 11" Size Newsletter

Commit to consistency. Consistency is the key to a successful newsletter. This is best achieved by limiting the number of pages for your newsletter. In the beginning, only commit to as many pages as you feel you are able to produce.

A single-page, two-sided newsletter that appears every month is a better choice than a four-page newsletter that appears every other month or an eight-page newsletter that appears quarterly. Your goal is to build awareness and stay in front of your clients and prospects. The shorter your newsletter, the more frequently you can mail it and the greater the number of prospects you can send it to.

Avoid overly-ambitious newsletter programs that require more time and money than you can comfortably invest. Disappointment is certain to occur when you bite off more than you can chew.

An 8 ½ " x 11" newsletter can either be produced flat, like a flyer, or it can be folded in half or even in thirds. You would fold it in thirds if the newsletter was to be mailed like a self-mailer, or enclosed in an envelope and then mailed. An 8 ½ " x 11" newsletter can be configured to read in the full 8 ½ " x 11" format, or configured to read so it is four, 8 ½ " x 5 ½ " pages when folded in half.

Some industries or items, such as food, clothing, action photographs, or a large amount of photos, will be printed better in full color than in black and white. If you are in a technical field, using more than 2 colors is not usually necessary. Whether it is a country club newsletter, a community newsletters, or church newsletter, we can do them all.

You have many formats to choose from, including 2 pages up to 8 pages (or more by special request). You can create your newsletter layout using virtually any graphics program, whether Mac or PC version. We offer you a choice of economical 70# uncoated stock, 80# gloss, or 80# matte for that high-end feel. We have configurations to handle any amount of content you need to print for your newsletter.

An 11" x 17" Newsletter, our most popular size, which is printed on both sides, and usually ordered folded in half to make its final size 8.5 x 11. You can add a second 11 x 17 sheet to make it an 8 page newsletter. This can be tabbed and mailed at the 8.5 x 11 final size, or also folded down to 8.5 x 5.5 and mailed as a self-mailer in that configuration also.
